Data controller

Server log files

When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical access data (including IP address, date/time of access, page accessed, browser/device information). This is technically necessary to deliver the website and detect abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in secure operation). This data is not merged with other data sources.

Manually entered product data

The ranking is based on product data (title, price, rolls, sheets, plies, etc.) that users deliberately and manually enter via the Chrome extension or the app, and can review and confirm once more in a preview before submitting. This is product-related, not personal data — except for the IP address that technically arises when submitting (see "Server log files").

If you enter your own product for comparison (rolls, sheets, plies, price, optionally a name of your choosing), this is used exclusively to calculate your ranking. This entry is currently stored locally on your device, not transmitted to our servers or shared with other users.

Support contact form

If you use the contact form at /support, we process the data you enter there (name, email address, message) to answer your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The message is forwarded by email to our contact address and additionally stored, so nothing gets lost in the event of a technical delivery problem. Instead of a third-party captcha (e.g. Google reCAPTCHA), we use a self-hosted math problem against spam — here too, no additional connections to third parties are created.

Account and data deletion

If you connect the app using "Connect with Apple" or "Connect with Google", you can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time — see Delete account and data for the exact procedure.

Cookies & third parties

This website currently does not use tracking or analytics cookies. Fonts are self-hosted, not loaded from an external provider (e.g. Google Fonts) — so no additional connections to third parties are created when visiting the page.

Planned features (not yet active)

For the app, an advertising model via Google AdMob and an optional, ad-free one-time purchase via Apple StoreKit / Google Play Billing are planned for the future. These features are currently not active. Once they are introduced, this privacy policy will be extended to cover the corresponding data processing (e.g. advertising ID, purchase confirmation).

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of the processing of your data, as well as a right to object to processing based on a legitimate interest. Please contact the email address given above for this. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
